Turkmenistan

  1. fly into Ashgabat
  2. horseriding (Herma's stud farm near Geok www.ayan-travel.com) in Karakum desert, purebred Akhal-Teke horses
  3. swim underground 36 celsius geothermal waters at Kow Ata Underground Lake in caverns below Kopet Dag Mountains
  4. visit a permanently flaming crater: fiery spectacle among the Karakum dunes, watch the Darvaza Gas Craters burn continuously (nat'l gas flares)
  5. see baked walls of Merv's fortifications
